From 26 March - 13 April, 2019, 3 years touring internationally and independently, culminated in a 3 week run at London's The Space Arts Centre!
Based on the novel by Sarah Quigley, The Conductor tells the true story of Dmitri Shostakovich's "Leningrad Symphony," composed under the Siege of Leningrad in World War II, and performed before the people by a battered, starving orchestra, in a moving testament to the dignity and power that art may serve.

An interview with director Jared McNeill, on how the piece came to be, and what it means to have toured so far and wide with this independent production.
We began as graduate project of the Trinity Laban Music Conservatory in London. We premiered at the 2016 Buxton Festival Fringe, where we received the Jonathan Beecher Award of Special Distinction.
French Premiere at La Comedie de Clermont-Ferrand, in France. Awarded for Special Distinction of Artistic Merit in "combining art, music, and civil theatre in defense of the dignity of every human being" by 2017 Roma Festival Fringe, in Italy. The production has toured to Ireland, England, Sweden, Italy, and France.
Just completed a 3 week run at London's The Space Arts Centre!
